2012 Toyota Tacoma

 

The #1 Selling Compact Pickup is back! Not much changes between the 2011 version and this refreshed model, but there are a few minor changes. The front fascia has been reworked to include new fog lamp housing and a lower bumper. The TRD Sport Package received a few revisions as well, now including turn signal lamps on the side mirrors and new 18-inch wheels. Also, Toyota has tweaked the Tacoma's interior, including a new steering wheel and upgraded audio systems for all trims.

The engine is still as powerful as ever, base models offering 2.7-liter, 4-cylinder engine rated at 159 horsepower. The V6 version remains the same as 2011, 4.0-liter, 236 horsepower. Models are available with automatic or manual transmission, and two new colors are available: Spruce Mica and Nautical Blue Metallic. A number of seating configurations are available as well: regular cab has one bench seat with room for three passengers, while double-cab offers the most room with four full doors and room for five passengers to fit comfortably.
